Selected parent
The parent is chosen by accumulated blue work, then the block identifier breaks ties. It anchors the selected chain without erasing the merge set.
Canonical order
Blocks of the merge set are ordered topologically and by work. UTXO transitions and emission slots are replayed in this deterministic order.
Finality
The finalized point follows the selected-parent chain up to the score virtualDaaScore − 432000. It cannot move back onto an incompatible branch.
Limit of the current API.
dag.getInfo publishes the frontier — tips, selected parent and finalized point — but not the parents of each block. A full DAG map will require a future historical read method.
